Grove & Holt
Terms of Service

The terms we work under.

Last updated 4 September 2026

Plain English, because you should be able to read this once and know where you stand. If anything here is unclear, ask before you sign up and we'll explain it.

Who we are

Grove & Holt Web Co. is a web and brand studio operating from Palm Bay, Florida. You can reach us at business@groveandholtweb.com or (916) 202-1928. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Grove & Holt Web Co., and "you" means the business or person we're working for.

Using our website, or signing up for a build or a monthly plan, means you accept these terms.

What we provide

Two things, and you can take either without the other:

Add-ons can be started or stopped in any month and appear on the same invoice as your plan.

Where a plan states a limit — a number of content edits or posts in a month — unused allowance doesn't roll over into the next month.

The free sample

We build a sample of your site before you commit to anything, at no cost and with no obligation. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe us nothing and the sample stays ours — it isn't yours to publish or hand to another developer.

Pricing and billing

Cancelling

Plans are month to month. Cancel any time by telling us in writing, and the plan ends 30 days later. We don't refund the current month, and we don't charge you a penalty for leaving.

Annual plans are paid for the whole term and are not refundable. Cancelling one means it does not renew: you keep everything the plan covers to the end of the year you bought, and unused months are not refunded. Because the build is paid for before it starts, or included in a year bought up front, nothing is ever outstanding when a plan ends.

When a plan ends: your domain stays yours, your finished site files are yours to take, and we remove ourselves from your Google and social accounts. If we were hosting the site, we'll keep it live for 30 days after the plan ends so you have time to move it.

We may end a plan ourselves, with 30 days' notice, or immediately if an invoice goes unpaid for more than 30 days or if we're asked to publish something unlawful.

What you own

What we need from you

To do the work we need your business details, your photos, and access to the accounts we're managing. Delays in getting those will delay the work; that's the main reason a build slips.

You confirm that anything you send us is yours to use — that you own the photos or have permission to use them, and that what you're telling us about your business is accurate. We rely on that, and we can't check it for you.

Things we can't promise

We're honest about this because plenty of people in this trade aren't:

Other people's services

Your site is hosted on Netlify, your email may run on Google Workspace, and your listing and social accounts sit with Google and Meta. Those services have their own terms, and their outages or decisions aren't something we control. We'll always tell you what your site depends on.

Liability

We'll do our work with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, our liability to you for anything arising from our work is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. We're not liable for lost profit or lost business. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects an active plan, we'll tell you directly before it applies to you.

Copyright complaints

We build sites that carry photographs and wording our clients supply. If something on a site we built infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act on it.

Send a notice to business@groveandholtweb.com with the subject Copyright notice. It needs to identify the work, the address of the page carrying it, how to reach you, a statement that you believe in good faith the use was not authorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you own the work or may act for the owner, and your signature, physical or typed. We take down material covered by a valid notice, tell the client why, and pass on any counter-notice. Clients who repeatedly infringe are dropped.

Where AI is involved

Some of the first drafts we produce, in Site Builder and in the sites we build by hand, are written by AI from the answers you give us. Every word is read by a person and by you before it goes on your site, and you can change any of it. No photograph we use is AI generated.

Settling a disagreement

Talk to us first. Email business@groveandholtweb.com and give us 30 days. Almost everything is a misunderstanding about a charge or a date, and both of us would rather fix it than argue.

If that does not settle it, you and Grove & Holt Web Co. agree to resolve the dispute by binding arbitration on an individual basis, before a single arbitrator, under the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, and each of us gives up the right to a jury and to take part in a class action.

Two things this does not stop. Either of us can still use small claims court where a claim qualifies. And you can opt out of arbitration entirely by emailing us with the subject Arbitration opt-out within 30 days of signing up, at no cost and with nothing else about your account changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Anything not sent to arbitration under the section above goes to the courts of Brevard County, Florida.
