What we collect, and what we don't.

Short, because there isn't much to tell. We're a small studio, not an advertising business, and we have no use for data beyond doing the work you hired us for.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no forms. Nothing you do here is tracked, stored, or sent to us. There's no contact form — the buttons open your own email app or dial your phone, and nothing is recorded on our side until you actually get in touch.
Two honest exceptions, because they're technically true even though we don't see any of it:
- The page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives a request from your browser, including your IP address, when the fonts load.
- The site is hosted by Netlify, whose servers keep standard access logs the way every web host does.
Neither of those produces anything we look at, and we don't combine them with anything else.
When you get in touch
If you email or call us, we have whatever you chose to send: your name, your business, your contact details, and whatever you told us. We keep it so we can reply and, if you become a client, do the work. That's all.
When you become a client
To build and run your presence we hold the things you'd expect: your business details, your hours and services, your photos and logo, your domain details, and access to the accounts we manage for you. We use it to do the work and to invoice you, and for nothing else.
We never sell your information, never share it with advertisers, and never send you marketing you didn't ask for.
Who else touches it
Doing the work means some of your information reaches the services the work depends on:
- Netlify — hosts your website.
- Google — your Business Profile, and our email, which runs on Google Workspace.
- Meta — if we manage your Facebook or Instagram.
- Your domain registrar, for the domain in your name.
- If you use our Site Builder app at app.groveandholtweb.com, payments there are handled by Stripe. We never see or hold your card number.
Each of those has its own privacy policy, and we only give them what the work requires.
How long we keep it
For as long as you're a client, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer questions, honour the 30-day window after a plan ends, and keep the records that tax rules require. Enquiries that don't turn into work get cleared out once they're plainly stale.
Your say over it
Email business@groveandholtweb.com and you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll do it, subject to anything we're legally required to keep. There's no process to go through — just ask.
Children
Our work is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect anything from children.
Changes
If this changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
